Pear pushes you the things that matter and stays quiet about the rest. Every notification type is opt-in, configurable, and tunable from a single screen.

Notification types

Price alerts

Set a price threshold on any market. Pear notifies you when the market crosses it, in either direction.

Position alerts

Get pinged when one of your open positions moves by a set percentage, hits a P&L threshold, or resolves.

Trader alerts

Follow specific traders with notifications on. Get a push when they open or close any trade.

Social activity

Replies to your trades, mentions, new followers, comments on your posts.

Reward updates

Cashback milestones reached, referral rewards earned, claims confirmed.

Market events

Markets you’ve traded resolving, large price moves on markets you’ve watched, new markets in categories you follow.

Creating an alert

1

Open the market

From any market detail page, tap the bell icon in the top right.
2

Pick a trigger

Choose Price, Volume, or Resolution. For price alerts, pick a threshold and a direction (above / below).
3

Set delivery

Push only, push + email, or in-app banner. You can change this later in Settings → Notifications.
4

Save

The alert appears under Profile → Alerts where you can pause, edit, or delete it.

Notification preferences

Open Profile → Settings → Notifications to tune every notification class globally:
  • Toggle Price alerts, Position alerts, Trader alerts, Social, Rewards, and Market events independently.
  • Set a quiet hours window (no pushes during this range).
  • Pick a digest frequency for low-priority categories (real-time, hourly, daily).
If a notification class feels noisy, drop it to digest instead of disabling it entirely. You’ll still see what happened without the buzz.

Trader notifications

Pear lets you turn on per-trader notifications independently of following them. You can:
  • Follow + notify — see their activity in your feed and get a push for each trade.
  • Follow, no push — see them in your feed only.
  • Notify, no follow — push for their trades without cluttering your feed (useful for very active traders you only want signals from).
